Clemence Pella

Clemence "Clem" Henry Pella was born to Martin G. and Hedwig “Hattie” (Goracke) Pella of rural St. Mary on June 18, 1927.  He married the love of his life, Ethelreda Gottula, on June 1, 1953.  To this union eleven children were born.  He passed away November 30, 2015 at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 12 days. 

He is survived by his wife, Ethelreda of Tecumseh, children,  Thomas Pella and wife Collette of Aurora, CO, Vincent Pella and wife Rosemary of Tecumseh, Theresa Pella and husband Michael George of Littleton, CO, Gregory Pella and wife Kim of Roca,  Jeanne Speckmann of Cook, Josephine Reed of Centerton, AR, Jerome Pella of Weeping Water, Martin Pella of Lincoln, Clement Pella of Lincoln and Mary Joan Pella of Tucson, AR,   14 grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Renae, Russell, Angela, Travis, Elizabeth Ashley, Melissa, Ryan, Ashley Dawn, Kaylea, Kori, Calvin and Katlyn, 10 great-grandchildren, Grayson, Ty David, Nolan, Gizelle, Naomi, Olive, Levi, Isaiah, Kinsley and Elijah, brother, Richard V. Pella and Marion of Tecumseh, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Hattie Pella, son, Michael Urban, twin great-grandchildren, Jay and Alexia Pella, brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Leona Pella and sister and brother-in-law, John and Leona Sobotta.

Mass of Christian Burial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in St. Mary, Nebraska with Father Craig Clinch officiating.  Visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Rosary will be recited at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Mary, Nebraska, at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, December 3, 2015.

Memorials may go to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Mary, Nebraska.  

Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Mary, Nebraska with full military honors by the Nebraska Army National Guard Funeral Honors Team and VFW Post #8221 of Tecumseh.
