Melba D. Rowell, 91, of Falls City, NE, passed away November 28, 2015 at Falls City. She was born November 23, 1924 at Barada, NE to the late Joseph and Alice (Sailors) Ramer.

On September 27, 1940 she married Harold Rowell at Falls City. He passed away November 1, 1996.

Melba was raised Barada and when married the couple established their home west of Barada and they moved into Falls City in 1955 and she has lived here since. She worked for the Falls City Creamery and the Garment Factory, both in Falls City and the Mid-Central Egg Plant in Hiawatha, KS from which she retired from. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Melba is survived by her daughter, Shirley Allgood and her husband James of Falls City, brothers, Gary Ramer of Reserve, John Ramer of Falls City, sister-in-law, Dolly Bridgmon of Tucson, AZ, grandchildren, Todd Noll, Shane Alexander, Harold (Deb) Nussbaum and Vicki Rowland all of Falls City and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, two sisters, daughter, Lois Nussbaum and her precious dog, Haley.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Interment will be in Harris Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin on Monday afternoon at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
