Margaret Evelyn Settle, 71, of Mayetta, KS passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born December 20, 1943 in Wise County, VA, the daughter of Joseph Goffrey and Artie Baker (Powers) Gentry.

Margaret attended school in Virginia. She was a homemaker and housewife.

Margaret married James Marvin Settle, they later divorced.

Survivors include her husband of over 20 years, Glenn Perry of the home; a son, Marvin D. Settle of Colorado; a sister, Ila Dale of Virginia; 2 brothers, Willard and Joseph Gentry both of Virginia and 2 grandchildren, Tyler Hards and Gretchen Keithley.

She was preceded in death by her son, Goffrey Lynn “Jeff” Settle; 2 sisters, Patricia Kirkbride and Joanne Gentry and 4 brothers, James B., Triva Ray, Eugene and Charles Allen Gentry.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery.
