Eulin Warren (EW) Barnes, 94 of Atchison, KS passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Atchison Senior Village.  

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 27, 2015 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating with burial will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery.  Family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.

Eulin was born on June 26, 1921 in Fayetteville, AR, the son of Joseph and Luetta Barnes.  He worked at TWA overhaul base in Kansas City, MO as an aircraft mechanic until retirement in the early 1980’s.  Eulin enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning from his garden and spending time with his family especially his grandkids.  

Eulin married Wanda Loyd in 1974 in Platte City, MO.  She preceded him in death on November 17, 2013.  Survivors include two sons; David and Stanley Barnes, a daughter; Diane Barnes; five step children in which he raised on his own; Ronney Coulter and Jeannie Derry, Atchison, KS. LaRue and Keith Rose,
Rushville, MO, Sandy Taylor and Larry Hine, Neosho Falls, KS, Kathy and Jesse Green, Neosho Falls, KS, William Taylor and Jenn Crooks, Riverside, MO and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and a stepson, Michael Coulter.
