Debbie A. Parker, 59, of Hiawatha, surrounded by her family went to be with Jesus on Friday August 28, 2015.

Debbie was born November 12, 1955 in St. Joseph, Missouri, one of five children of Max and Winnie Randall Shubert.  Debbie grew up in Mound City and graduated with the class of 1974. Debbie has two wonderful children, the love of her life, Misty and Jeremy. They lived in Mound City where Debbie was a homemaker for years and then worked five years for the city of Mound City as a Collector. They later moved to Brown County where Debbie started working for the treasurer’s office in 1996.  In 2000 she became the County Clerk and still held this position at the time of her passing.

Debbie was an active member of the Christian Center of Hiawatha. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents and her nieces Annetta and Carrie Shellito.

She is survived by her dad Max of Mound City, Missouri, her children:   Misty Watts of Highland and Jeremy Smith of Hiawatha; Her Sisters: Peggy Shubert  of Mound City, Missouri, Becky(Steve) Shellito of St. Joseph, Missouri and  Sherry (Derb) Wilson of Forest City, Missouri. Her brother Ron (Shelly) Shubert of St. Joseph; her Grandchildren: Jeffrey and Levi Watts, Austin, Josh and Shelby Ann Smith. A very special friend of Debbie’s was Richard Stadlman of Mound City. Also surviving are: nieces and nephews Michelle, Angie, Amy, David, Ben and Kayla.

Debbie was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her Lord and loved life and will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her.

Celebration of life services will be held Tuesday September 1 at 11:00 a.m.at the Christian Center with Tony French officiating and Pastor Rich Lehmkuhl assisting. Burial will be at Benton Cemetery in Mound City, Missouri.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Monday until 4 at which time the body will be moved to the Christian Center where the family will meet from 6 until 8 that evening.
