Alice Sudlow Ash, 91, of Holton, passed away Monday afternoon August 3, 2015 at Medicalodge Jackson County in Holton.

She was born May 12, 1924 in Holton the daughter of Fred and Adria (Newton) Sudlow.  She graduated from Holton High School in 1942.  On June 5, 1946 she married Donald Ash, Jr. in Lawrence.  He preceded her in death June 7, 2004.  Alice was a helicopter mechanic for the United States Navy and later worked at Farmers State Bank for over 30 years and retired as Vice President. Alice also co-owned Don Ash and Son for over 71 years; with her husband and son. She was a member Beckman Book Club and the First United Methodist Church in Circleville.     

Alice is survived by: her son, Abe Ash (Denise) of Holton, KS; her daughter, Adria Herrman (Carl) of Latham, KS; her 8 grandchildren, Abbe, Amy, Alice, Katie, Aaron, Rex, Lyndsey and Kristopher; and her 7 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Sudlow.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at Circleville United Methodist Church.  Inurnment will follow in Circleville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Holton Community Hospital Hospice or Heart of Jackson Human Society and contributions may be sent c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
