Ramona June Riederer, 83, of Holton passed away Monday afternoon, July 27, 2015 at Medicalodge Jackson County.

Ramona was born June 8, 1932 in Potawatomie County, KS, the daughter of Raymond and Saxon (Holder) Smith. She graduated from Circleville High School. She was a homemaker and farmwife. Ramona also worked for Slimaker Dress Factory, The Holton Recorder and Mercer Funeral Home all in Holton.

She married Robert Henry Riederer on March 1, 1952 in Holton. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a sister and 8 brothers.

Survivors include her children, Rebecca Riederer of Topeka, Russell Riederer (MaryAnn) of Holton and Roberta Mariani (Richard) of Topeka and 7 grandchildren, Morgan, Anne, Robert and Jake Riederer and Andy, Jonathan and Michael Mariani.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private family burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery. Ramona will lie in state at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton beginning Tuesday afternoon, July 28, 2015. Family requests no flowers.
