Betty A. Boone, 80, of Falls City, NE, passed away July 2, 2015 at Lincoln, NE. She was born December 2, 1934 at Platte City, MO to the late Bud and Mary Katherine (Crobarger) Stubbs.

On December 31, 1954 she married Robert O. Boone at Platte City, MO.

Betty was raised in the Platte City area and graduated high school at Dearborn, MO in 1952, winning a state basketball championship her senior year. Following graduation she helped on the family farm. When married the couple established their home in Payola, KS, then the family moved to Kansas City and then to Globe, AZ, and to Falls City in 1990 and she has lived here since. She was a homemaker her entire life and liked to roller skate, quilt and garden.

Betty is survived by her husband, Bob of Falls City, daughter, Bobbie Pickard and her husband Michael of Falls City, brother, Bob Stubbs and his wife Elizabeth of Payola, KS, grandson, Michael Selleck and his wife Melanie of Mound City, MO, great-grandchildren, Kaite and Morgann Selleck. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Howard, J.C and Harold and a sister, Georgie Lee.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Daniel Farley officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-5:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
