Brenda Jean Gasper, 53, Atchison KS died Sat. June 27th, 2015 at Mosiac Life Center, St. Joseph MO.

Graveside services and burial will be 3:30 pm on Friday, July 3rd, 2015 at Alderson Cemetery, Atchison County KS. The body has been cremated no visitation will be held. Brenda was born on Dec. 8, 1961 in Atchison KS the daughter of Jim and Tillie (White) Wood. Brenda was a caring person who enjoyed caring for the elderly, abused and disadvantaged. She worked as a counselor for DOVES, in Atchison for over 16 years. She also volunteered at Sacred Heart Thrift Store.

She was married to Anthony J. “Tony” Gasper on June 14, 1980. Tony survives of the home. Additional survivors include four sons; Jason McGregor, Lenexa, KS., Ricky Gasper, Oklahoma City, OK., Lance Gasper and Ni co Gasper, Atchison KS., her mother Tillie Skeen, Atchison, KS., two brothers; Don Skeen, Lansing, KS., and Gary Skeen, Atchison, KS., a sister, Chattie Page, Manhattan, KS., three grandchildren; Roman, Elijah, and Octavian Gasper. Her father, brother Ricky Williams, and sister Pattie Johnston, preceded her in death.
