Ernest Lynn Woltje, 60, of Circleville, KS passed away at his home Sunday, June 28, 2015, with family by his side. He was born December 28, 1954 in Meade, KS the son of Lemuel and Wanda (Cox) Woltje.

Ernie graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 1972. He had lived in the Jackson County communities for 58 years. Ernie was a welder for BMB and a supervisor for Alamo both in Holton.  Later he was parteners with his son, Matt at EZ Flow Irrigations as an installer and also his son, Chris at E & C Renovations and Additions as a carpenter.

He married Connie Rae Cattrell on July 3, 1974 in Soldier, KS. She survives of the home. Other survivors include 2 sons, Christopher L. Woltje (Joni) of Netawaka, KS and Matthew D. Woltje (Mary) of Topeka, KS; 4 grandchildren, Jesse, Adam, Jordan and Kati Woltje; 2 step-grandchildren, Mason and Bailey  Hamilton; 2 sisters, Sandra McAlexander of Topeka, KS and Pauletta Persell of Herington, KS and 3 brothers, Ivan Woltje of Salina, KS, Charles Woltje of Topeka, KS and Lanny Woltje of Holton, KS.

 Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in the Soldier Cemetery.
