Lyle Burton Farwell, 93 of Du Bois, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, June 14th, 2015 at Colonial Acres, Humboldt, Nebraska.  He was born on March 18, 1922 to J. Verner and Mollie (Turner) Farwell at home on the farm near Du Bois, Nebraska.  Lyle was baptized at the Methodist Church in Du Bois on September 29, 1929.

On June 14, 1942, Lyle married his childhood sweetheart, Dorothy Wissler, they started kindergarten together and graduated from High School together. To this union four children were born, Pamela, Diane, Patricia and Douglas.

Lyle is survived by his wife Dorothy Farwell of Humboldt, NE, children; Pam (Joe) Allison of Auburn, NE, Diane (Richard) Allison of Seneca, KS, Patricia of Omaha, NE, Doug of Du Bois, NE.

Funeral services 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Du Bois, Nebraska.  Officiating Reverend Sheri Sklenar. Visitation on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. Interment at the Du Bois Cemetery, Du Bois, Nebraska.
