James Haer

James Andrew Haer, 84, Oregon, Missouri died Monday, June 8, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care.  

He was born July 8, 1930 in Craig, Missouri to Roy and Leona (Barker) Haer.

He met his wife Beverly Lowrance in 1951 on a double date to Mound City Movie Theater.  They married November 17, 1951 at Mound City Presbyterian Church.

While James worked for Ideker Construction they lived in Belton, Missouri.  In 1952 first daughter Rebecca Haer Egbert was born, they then moved to Mound City for 16 years, while James worked for the Highway department.  In 1959, their second daughter, Marcia Haer Rolf was born.  In 1968, they moved to Craig farm where James worked for Harry Flint and Howard Construction.  James then finally retired from Schuykill after 16 years James moved to Big Lake to enjoy his retirement of fishing every day, auctions, and hunting.  

James was a former member of the Presbyterian Churches in Craig, Mound City and attended the Benton Church in Mound City. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Madonna Hall; brother, Vernon Haer; and son-in-law, Joe Rolf.

Survivors include wife, Beverly of the home; daughters, Rebecca Egbert (Bill) and Marcia Rolf; two sisters, Ramona Rhoades and Vicki Montgomery; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two aunts, Lucille Stull and Corabelle Yount; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Farewell Services 2:00 P.M. Saturday, Pettijohn and Crawford Funeral Service.
