E. Marcelle Handley, 91, of Troy, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Wathena Nursing & Rehab.

Marcelle was born on January 18, 1924 in Richardson County, Nebraska to Sherman & Elizabeth (Kirkendall) Alexander.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Troy, Kansas. Marcelle worked for JC Penney in Office Payroll & Personnel. She enjoyed writing poetry on a variety of subjects, also enjoying reading, baking, cooking & trying new recipes.

Marcelle married Logan Handley on May 15, 1955 in Shubert, Nebraska. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Marvin, Dearle & Norman Alexander & 2 infant granddaughters.

Survivors: sons, Larry Handley (Sharon) of Troy, Kansas Lynn Handley (Shirley) of Wathena, Kansas Logan Handley Jr. (June) of Richmond, Virginia Daughters, Barbara Laipple (Jan) of Wathena, Kansas Debbie Handley of Kansas City, Missouri 12 grandchildren & 13 great-grandchildren Sister, Oneida Mae Chandler of Falls City, Nebraska Numerous nieces & nephews
