Mary Anne Hager, 52, Fairbanks, Alaska, formerly of Atchison, Kansas died peacefully in her home with loved ones by her side on April 22, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.

Memorial services in her honor will be in Atchison, Kansas on Saturday June 6, 2015 at 11:00             at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.  Visitation with the family will be Saturday, June 6th from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.  Burial of the cremated ashes will follow in Lancaster Cemetery, Lancaster, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.  A previous Celebration of Life service was held on May 2, 2015 in Alaska.

Mary Anne was born September 19, 1962 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Theodore and Virginia Hager.  She attended Mount St. Scholastica Academy and Atchison High School later receiving her GED.

She moved to Alaska in 1985 and resided there until her death.  She worked at Kmart Department Store for several years then went to work for the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District in 2002.

She was an avid Chiefs fan and even in their darkest days stayed loyal.

Surviving family members include long time love and fiancé Leonard Roach, daughter, Kayla Hager, Alaska, stepson, Danny Roach (Carlene), Arizona, her mother, Virginia Hager, Atchison, brothers, Ted Hager, Dan (Carol) Hager, Joe Hager and Jerry Hager, all of Atchison, KS, two sisters,  Jane (Mike) Dunn, Emporia, KS, Bonnie (Jeff) Pike, Atchison, KS, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore H. Hager.
