 Marie K. Sullivan, 89, of Atchison Kansas died Thursday, May 28th, 2015 at her home in Atchison, KS.


Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Monday, June 1st, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John’s Cemetery, Potter, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 pm on Sunday, May 31st, 2015 at the Becker Dyer Stanton Funeral Home. Marie was born on June 13, 1925 in Easton, Kansas the daughter of Fredrick C. and  Reike (Holtmeyer) Kruse. She attended St. John’s Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Potter High School in 1943.                 Marie worked as a key punch operator at Blish-Mize retiring in 1987 after 16 years.  She was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church, a member of Pastor Ziegler’s Bible study, Morning Break, and was a Kennedy caller for the church.  Marie enjoyed sewing, attending the McDonald’s Coffee Club, and spending time with her family.


She was married to Richard T. Sullivan on Nov. 4, 1944 in Atchison KS.  Mr. Sullivan preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2004.  Survivors include two sons; Bradley Sullivan, Troy, KS, and Randall Sullivan, Overland Park, KS,  three daughters; Connie (Bob) Mullen, Sue Schuler, Beth (Bill) Norris all of Atchison KS, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, two step sisters; Nancy Morrow, Santa Ana, CA, and  Patricia Justin, Dallas, OR.   Her parents, husband Richard, a son Barry L. Sullivan, (1989), and son-in-law, Melvin Schuler, great grandson, and step mother preceded her in death.
