Bernadine B. Bohannon, 91, of Holton, KS passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at Holton Community Hospital. She was born July 13, 1923 in Goff, KS, the daughter of William C. and Ola A. (Burget) Driscoll.

Bernadine graduated from Wetmore High School in 1941. She had lived many years in Holton and had previously lived in the Wetmore, Goff and Pleasant Grove communities. She was a homemaker and together with her husband owned and operated Bohannon Mobil Service Station & Car Wash for 35 years.

She was a member of Holton V.F.W. Auxiliary and an active member of the First Baptist Church in Holton since 1956.

Bernadine married William Harold Bohannon on October 18, 1941 in Holton. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Ford; her twin brother, Burton B. Driscoll; a brother, William Junior Driscoll; a grandson, Dwight Christian Fisher and a great-granddaughter, Carissa Denise Holliday.

Survivors include 3 sons, William Harold Bohannon, Jr. (Sharon) of Holton, KS, Donald Eugene Bohannon, Sr. (Carolyn) of Lyndon, KS and Gregory D. Bohannon (Marty) of Ottawa, KS; a daughter, Linda M. Fisher (Paul) of Hoyt, KS; 2 sisters, Ruth Watkins of Larkinburg, KS and June Brown of Owasso, OK; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.      

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery. Bernadine will lie in state beginning Sunday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
