Pearl "Maxine" Edwardson, 75, of Hiawatha, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Maple Heights Nursing and Rehab Center in Hiawatha, Kansas.

She was born on September 13, 1939 in Penokee, Kansas the daughter of Harlan and Lottie (Miller) Smith. Maxine attended the Assembly of God Church in Hiawatha, Kansas. On October 18, 1957 she married Alvin Edwardson in Falls City, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2003.

Survivors include a daughter, Roberta Cavin of Topeka, Kansas; three sons, Charles Edwardson of Wichita, Kansas, Alan Edwardson of Lake Placid, Florida and Anthony Edwardson of Hiawatha, Kansas; two sisters, Laura Woolridge of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Sharon Fritz of Gravois Mills, Missouri; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, James Cavin and two brothers, Gilbert and Alvin Smith.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Hiawatha, Kansas. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton.  Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery north of Everest, Kansas.
