Ann Elizabeth Hutt
Wherry Mortuary of Tecumseh
Tecumseh , NE

Ann Elizabeth Hutt, born August 15th 1976, joined her Grandpa Orville Hutt, Grandpa Chuck Blessing, Grandma Donita Blessing and Uncle Tom Hutt in Heaven on Tuesday, March 24, 2015.

She had a wonderful life filled with so much fun and surrounded by so much love. She learned to sit at one year, walk at 5 years and touched the hearts of everyone she met.

She graduated from TPS in 1997 after going to school until age twenty-one. She and Steven Meyer had their own graduation ceremony and the gym floor was packed! While attending school, she had excellent teachers to include Donna DeFreece, Robyn Faris, Colleen Naber, Gail Hutt and Rebecca Kling. Coach Hutt developed an Adaptive PE Class for Ann and her classmates. Sandy Amos guided her to speak most carefully. Tom Doran mainstreamed her into regular education music class. She was immersed into hands-on activities all day long, learned so many songs, rhymes and academics to her ability and learned to write her first and last names. She attended the SENDS workshop, but her love of the Pizza Hut caused her to choose that establishment alone to spend her working hours, M-F mornings with her Dad and sometimes Mom under the manager of Glenna Klein, Janice Cawley and finally Heather and Brad Clements.

Ann had so many loves, to include Mister Rogers, her kitties, Bob and Michelle’s pets, the Tecumseh Rescue Squad, the Tecumseh Volunteer Fire Department, and the United Methodist Church and its members.

She attended Sunday School, was a member of the United Methodist Church, a member of Martha Circle with her Mom, Grandma, Aunt Gail and Aunt Lila, and loved singing in the adult choir and assisting the ushers in handing out the bulletins. She even directed the congregation singing the “birthday song” on her birthday!

Ann had her own paper shredder. She liked to shred discarded paper from home and for her friends. She would occasionally sneak new paper from the printer tray and hide it midway down the shred box.

Ann got a fire pit for her birthday a few years ago. She enjoyed the fires, especially with Bob and Michelle toasting her as many marshmallows as she could eat. She would then go inside for a bubble bath.

She thought about riding in the Johnson County Ambulance in the fair parade with Angie Othmer and others for 364 days, then rode and threw out candy and began thinking about going again the next year! Ann also loved the Tecumseh Volunteer Fire Department and its members. She felt so close to them. She enjoyed the excitement and the good they did. She even dialed 911 one time and “ordered” a fire engine to come to her house!

Ann had a love for the outdoors. Her favorite sports were fishing and basketball. She loved to fish with her Daddy. The highlight of her year was the annual trip to Spicer, Minnesota to fish on Green Lake. Ann and her Dad fished in the daytime and then Mom would join them at night to troll for more fish.

She also loved to cheer on the Tecumseh Indians and the JCC Thunderbirds in basketball under the directorship of Uncle Chris (MAC) Hutt. She even coached a few JV games with MAC and shot baskets at half-time to the delight of the crowd from both teams.

She was fond of every single person who ever worked at Brinkman brothers, including long-time favorites, Aunt Sarah, Don Brinkman, Jim Parrish and Joe Reilly. She would have had a desk there if her parents would have just made it happen! She loved to go in and chat with so many kind souls there who never hesitated to visit, even when they were busy with their work.

Thanks to all who loved and enjoyed Ann, learning from her, and basking in her innocent accepting ways.

Left to celebrate her gift of life are her parents Jim and Sally, her brother Bob and wife Michelle, Grandma Carol, Aunts, Uncles, Great Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and a wealth of friends.

God loved Ann and HE loves all of us!
