“Pat” Joseph W. Martin, 77, of Salem, NE, passed away March 1, 2015 at Salem. He was born December 9, 1937 at Falls City, NE to the late Joseph and Loretta (Mahoney) Martin.

On October 15, 1960 he married Marilyn Sue Schwab at Falls City. They were later divorced.

Pat was raised at Falls City and graduated Falls City High School in 1956. He then worked for the Railroad. He graduated Peru State College in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science degree and taught biology at Bellevue Junior High School. He owned his own businesses the majority of his life and worked for Restaurant Management Corporation and lived various places managing their restaurants. He moved back to Bellevue and then to Salem in 1994. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Falls City and Pheasants Forever.

Pat is survived by his sons, Robert and his wife Mary of Sacramento, CA, Mitchell and his wife Jennifer of Lee’s Summit, MO, Michael of Omaha, NE, grandchildren, Candy, Jessica, Brecklynn and Caden Martin, great-grandson, Hunter Cruz and ex-wife, Marilyn Sue Martin of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tom and sister, Mary Elizabeth Williams.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor Robert A. Roh as the presiding priest. Inurnment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the rosary.
