Irvin “LeRoy” Bloom, 64, of Goff, passed away December 1, 2014 at Holton Community Hospital. He was born April 17, 1950 in Goff, the son of Irvin Leo and Ida W. (Niehues) Bloom.

LeRoy attended Bancroft Grade School and graduated from Wetmore High School in 1968. He worked for BMB/Alamo in Holton for over 20 years. He later worked for Rural Water District #4 in Wetmore. LeRoy was also a farmer and stockman throughout his life. He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Wetmore.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Linda Gerhardt (David) of Holton and Ginger Meyer (Dale) of Wetmore; a brother, Ron Bloom (Linda) of Goff; 5 nieces and 7 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Bloom.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 at St. James Catholic Church in Wetmore. Burial will follow in the Wetmore Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton with visitation to follow. Memorials may be given to St. James Catholic Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
