Terry A. Brox, 77, longtime Atchison businessman in Atchison, Kansas died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his residence.

Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday December 3, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Benedict’s Church with Abbot Barnabas Senecal, OSB as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  A parish and Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited on Tuesday, December 2nd at 6:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:00 P.M.  Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.

Terry was born March 16, 1937 in Atchison, Kansas the son of John A. and Betty Dilgert Brox.  He attended St. Benedict’s Elementary School and Maur Hill Prep School.
He and Jo Ann Whaley were united in marriage on December 26, 1959 at St. Benedict’s Church in Atchison.  Mrs. Brox preceded him in death on November 7, 2004.

Terry served in the United States Navy.

He worked with his father, John A. Brox in the operation of Brox for Rocks all of his working life later becoming owner operator of the company.

He was a member of St. Benedict Parish, Sacred Heart Council #723 of the Knights of Columbus, Atchison Elk’s Club, Fleming-Jackson-Seever Post #6 of the American Legion and a life member of V. F. W. Post #1175.
Terry’s enjoyment in life was “working” and providing timely service to his customers.  He was a full scale flyer piloting his own plane through the years for he and his families traveling as well as flying to many cities to obtain necessary parts for equipment for his company.

Survivors include a son, Terry A. Brox, Jr., Atchison, KS, a daughter, Pam A. Kuhnert, Atchison, KS, a sister, Sherry J. “Shug” Scott, Henderson, NV, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Brox, a grandson, Derek Kuhnert and a great grandson, Braeden Kuhnert.
