Rose Y. Frakes, 60, of Willis, Kansas, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Maple Heights Senior Living Center in Hiawatha, Kansas. She was born on November 9, 1954 in Waverly, Kansas the daughter of Harold and Florence Brown Cox. Rose worked for Flair Fold, Wilde Toole, Tri-County Manor and the Golden Eagle Casino. On May 30, 1987 she married Leroy Frakes at the Kahbeah Chapel. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include a son, Roy "Rusty" Frakes of Horton, Kansas; two daughters, Flori Hicks of Horton, Kansas and Cosetta Frakes of Ogden, Kansas; sister, Bertha Boro of Sabetha, Kansas; brother, Scott Cox of Hiawatha, Kansas; fifteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, step daughter, Linda Phillips, granddaughter, Rayona, great grandson, Cody Paul Chama, three sisters, Mary Moler, Sheila Diane Cox and Ruby Cox. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Burial will be at the Old Huron Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Rose Frakes memorial fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
