Marjorie P. Cochran, 73, of Verdon, NE, passed away November 23, 2014 at Lincoln, NE. She was born September 28, 1941 at Falls City to the late Albert and Emma (Johnson) Georges.

On May 9, 1959 she married Norman Cochran at Falls City. He passed away June 4, 1012.

Marjorie was raised at Barada and graduated Shubert High School in 1958. She worked at Falls City Creamery following graduation. When married the couple established their home in Barada and later moved to Falls City. In 1965 they moved into Verdon. She worked for Dawson-Verdon School for 30 years, starting as a cook and then a teacher’s aide and a librarian. She retired in 2002. She was a member of Verdon Christian Church.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Norman and his wife Linda of Verdon, Dan and his wife Bert of Bloomington, IL, Gary and his wife Tina of Verdon, daughter, Jeannie Rethman and her husband Ron of Veron, brothers, Bob Georges and his wife Lana of Falls City, Tom Georges of Barada, sister, Emily Kelly and her husband Pat of Falls City, seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Lena Handley, brothers, Dale, Teddy and Joseph Georges.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Corey Miller officiating. Interment will be in Harris Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
