Bertie B. Bishop 88, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 in a Saint Joseph, MO health care center.

She was born January 10, 1926 in Dekalb, MO, daughter of Mary and William Boster. She was and homemaker and Farm Wife. She was a member of the former Queen Esther Loyal Sons, and was a past president, also a member of the Rushville Christian Church. Bertie was preceded in death by 1st husband, Andrew Vice, 2nd husband, Thomas Bishop, her parents, a daughter, Betty Alice DeSpain, five brothers, Jess, James, Walter, Tom , and Earl Boster, two sisters Rosie and Lillie, and 1/2 sister Bertie, and a grandson Alfred DeSpain Jr. Survivors include, three grandchildren Betsy, Roxanna and Gloria DeSpain of St. Joseph, MO, sister-in-law and caregiver, Ann Brewer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor George Baugh officiating, The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
