 Gloria D. Black, 71, Atchison, Kansas died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Atchison Hospital.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery with Abbot Barnabas Senecal, OSB presiding. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, November 25th from Noon until 1:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Gloria was born August 27, 1943 in Port Angeles, Washington the daughter of Adlard M. and Gladys Grubbs Prill. She attended Quilcene Elementary School, graduating from Quilcene High School, Quilcene, Washington.

She and Ralph Michael Black were united in marriage on November 16, 1972 at Sacred Heart Church in Atchison, Kansas.

Gloria served in the dietary department of Benedictine College as a cook for sixteen years, retiring in May 2009.

She was a communicant of St. Benedict Parish. In her free time, she and her husband enjoyed traveling extensively, fishing, camping and ceramics.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Michael Black of the couple’s home in Atchison, and a son, Barry M. Black, Pecos, TX, a brother, Bob Prill, Quilcene, WA, five sisters, Joyce McClanahan, Quilcene, WA, Lucille Rogers, Cherry Valley, CA, Phyllis Ingalls, Darby, MT, Glenda MacDonald, Port Townsend, WA, Judy Pelikan, Beaver, WA and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gail Prill.
