Marilyn J. Galland, 77, of Muscotah, KS, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka, KS.
 
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS with Rev. Lou Davies officiating.  Burial will follow at Jordan Creek Cemetery, Bendena, KS.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences to the family may be left at http://www.beckerdyer.com/.
 
Marilyn was born at home in Bendena, KS on September 17, 1937, the daughter of Howard Linley and Ruth Helen Dorothy (Brittain) Ricklefs.  She attended Oak Grove and Oakland grade schools, graduated from Bendena High School in 1955.  Marilyn was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working for Tri-County Manor in Horton, KS, and Atchison Hospital.  She was a member of Jordan Creek Baptist Church, Bendena, KS and Muscotah Outreach program.  Marilyn enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, canning, and going to grandkids activities.
 
Marilyn married Ron Galland on April 21, 1967 at Jordan Creek Baptist Church, Bendena, KS.  He survives of the home.  Additional survivors include their children; Terry and LeeAnn Galland, Muscotah, KS, Glenda and Bill Newquist, Muscotah, KS, Raymond and Tonya Galland, Lancaster, KS, two brothers; James and Vicki Ricklefs, Wathena, KS, Robert Ricklefs, Raytown, MO, two sisters; Ruthanna and David Seward, Janice and Wayne Cluck, both of Wathena, KS and eight grandchildren; Ashley and Andrew Galland, Kyle & Hailee Miller, Ryan and Rachel Newquist and Carson and Caylie Galland.
 
She was preceded by her parents, and two sisters; Rosie and Linda Ricklefs.
