Bonnie Lenora Dreher, 77, of Fairview, KS passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Sabetha Manor where she had been a resident for the past month.  

She was born October 8, 1937 in Lillis, KS the daughter of Richard and Sarah Cogswell Surdez.  She graduated from Vermillion High School in 1956.

She married the love of her life, David Arden Dreher on May 26, 1956.  Together they had three children.

Bonnie’s passion was cooking and baking. She didn’t want anyone to go away hungry.  She enjoyed canning fresh garden vegetables. She loved making homemade bread, cinnamon rolls, and pies.  She loved to help make homemade wine.  She enjoyed playing cards and loved to dance.

She is survived by her husband, David Arden of 58 years of marriage.  They were together 62 years including the 4 years they courted.  Her children, two sons; Allen Dreher and his wife Cheryl (Nolte) of Hiawatha, KS, Terry Dreher and his wife Ronda (Gould)  of Greely, CO, and one daughter, Cherie Dreher Runnels of Starkville, MS., 6  grandchildren, Travis Dreher, Taylor (Kyle) Rodecap, Danielle and Dillon Dreher, Sheila and Colby Runnels and one great-grandchild, Remington Rodecap, one sister Francis (Clarence) Yates, two brothers, Leo (Margaret) Surdez and Daryl (Candy) Surdez.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  and one brother and two sisters.

Cremation is planned with private family inurnment to be held at the Vermillion Cemetery.
