Donna Marie Wolfe Butrick, 79, of Hiawatha, died October 25, 2014, at the Hiawatha Community Hosptial.

Donna was born May 13, 1935, at Iowa City, Iowa, one of six children born to Martin Harrison and Marjorie Eleanor Fry Wolfe.

She married Norman “Gene” Butrick in 1950.  Four children were born to this union:  Christina, Carolyn, Martin, and Andi.

Donna lived the majority of her life in Hiawatha where she worked for Justice Manufacturing 12 years prior to working in the laundry department at Hiawatha Community Hospital for 30 years before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gene, children Carolyn, Martin, sisters Joyce Meredith, Lois Bolz, and great-grandson Nick Ploeger.

Donna is survived by her daughters: Christina (Ralph) Davis, Andi Butrick; sisters:  Yuvonne Wolfe, Karen (Paul) Millenbruch; a brother Richard Wolfe; grandchildren:  Dona Ploeger, Rick (Amanda) Davis; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha, with Reverend Paul Waters officiating.  Private inurnment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

The family will meet with friends one hour prior to services.
