Delbert Ray Wofford

Delbert Ray Wofford, 78, of Lindsborg, formerly of Topeka passed away October 11, 2014 at Bethany Home. He was born July 7, 1936 in Valley Falls, the son of Lloyd and Freida Belle (Fleming) Wofford.

Delbert graduated from Ozawkie High School in 1954. He had lived in the Topeka area for over twenty years and previously in Salina and Abilene.

Delbert worked as a computer programmer at Duckwall - ALCO Department Store in Abilene. He also worked for Kennedy and Coe Accounting and at Kansas Wesleyan both in Salina.

He had attended Rolling Hills Congregational Church and was a life member of Moose Lodge both in Salina.

Survivors include a son, Greg Wofford (Lisa) of Salina; a daughter, Deanna Chmidling (Tim) of Berryton; a sister, Karen Zachariasen (Vernice) of Kansas City and 2 grandsons, Ryan Wofford and Kyle Wofford.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Wofford.

Memorial graveside inurnment will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.
