Audre “Granny” Blankenship, age 98 of Auburn, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society-Auburn.

Survivors include her daughter Barb (Rich) Moore of Auburn; step-children Robert Reed of Kearney, NE; Bill (Diane) Blankenship of Sioux City, IA; Bob (Liz) Blankenship of St. Louis, MO; Betty (Sverrir) Hauksson of Virginia Beach, VA; son-in-law Jim Oestmann of Auburn; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; brother Glen (Lou) Hunter; sister Lula Mae Twitty; foster son Vic Watts; many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be Saturday, September 27, 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Auburn. Cremation will follow the service, and inurnment of ashes will be at a later date at Sheridan West Cemetery at Auburn. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to Good Samaritan Society-Auburn, Auburn Memorial Library; or First United Methodist Church.
