James K. Heineman

 James F. Heineman, 73, of Falls City, NE, passed away August 8, 2014 at Falls City. He was born January 11, 1941 at Falls City to the late Keith and Josephine (Merritt) Heineman.

On October 13, 1961 he married Katherine J. Harmon at Seneca, KS, they later divorced. He married Carol (Aerts) Davis on December 29, 1984 at Falls City.

James graduated Verdon High School in 1959 and graduated Lincoln School of Commerce in 1960 with a degree of Associate of Applied Science in Accounting. He became employed in September of 1962 at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company as a Registered Sales Associate until 1980. In 1981 he began employment with Edward Jones Investments as a Financial Advisor until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Falls City Elks Lodge #963, he served on the Community Hospital Board for six years from 1987 through 1993 with two years as president. He also served on the Falls City Chamber of Commerce Board and was a past member of Falls City Country Club, Lions Club and Rotary.


James is survived by his wife, Carol of Falls City, sons, James K. of Austin, TX, Robert J. of St. Joseph, MO, Step-children, Danelle J. Homeyer of Lincoln, Darin C. Davis and his wife Mollie of Falls City, sister, Peggy D. Smith of Carleton, NE, sister-in-law, Dolores Heineman of Lees Summit, MO, mother-in-law Julia Aerts of Falls City, brother-in-laws David Aerts of Kansas City, MO, Dr. Richard Aerts and his wife Linden Aerts of Cedar Rapids, IA, sister-in-law Kathleen Davis and her husband John Davis of Tarkio, MO, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor Robert A. Roh as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Monday, 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the Rosary.

The family prefers memorials be made to Richardson Country Cancer Fund, Project 125, Elks Renovation Project or the Historical Society.
