Geraldine Erna Irene “Jerry” Troxel, 82, of Netawaka, KS passed away July 15, 2014 at Medicalodge Jackson County. She was born November 6, 1931 in Netawaka the daughter of Kurt and Ella (Mascher) Schumann.

Jerry lived all of her life in the Netawaka community, graduating from Netawaka High School. She was a homemaker and worked for Flair Fold in Hiawatha, retiring after 17 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aide in Netawaka.

Jerry married Jack Elroy Troxel on June 1, 1952 in Netawaka. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2013. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard P. Schumann and Vernon Cecil Schumann.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Gail Painter (Steve) of Smolan, KS and Mary Tinkler (Ryan) of Raymore, MO; a son, Roy Troxel (Shelley Keith) of Denton, KS; 6 granddaughters; 1 grandson; twin great-granddaughters and another great-granddaughter.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka. Family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:00 Friday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
