Margaret L. Pusch, 93, Shawnee, Kansas died Monday, July 14, 2014. Margaret was a lifelong Atchison resident until she moved to Shawnee in 2011 to be near her three daughters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 18, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Church with Abbot Barnabas as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited on Friday, July 18th at 10:00 A.M. at the church with visitation with the family following until time of funeral mass. Memorial contributions are suggested to Catholic Community Hospice and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, Atchison, Kansas.

Margaret was born June 11, 1921 in Leavenworth, KS, the daughter of Raymond A. and Genevieve Matzeder Lyons. She graduated from St. Joseph Elementary School and Mount St. Scholastica Academy. Following her graduation she worked at FITZ overall factory until just before her marriage to Leo E. Pusch.

Margaret and Leo were united in marriage on July 2, 1942 at St. Benedicts Church in Atchison. Leo preceded her in death on January 26, 2003. Margaret was a member of St. Joseph Church and the St. Joseph Church Altar Society. She was also a member and volunteer for the Atchison Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include her three daughters, Cheryl (J.D.) Faris, Shawnee, KS; Kathy (Mike) Byrd, Shawnee, KS; Cindy (Michael) Kautz, Overland Park, KS; one sister Nadine Monroe, Olathe, KS; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Leo Pusch, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Raymond Lyons, Jr. and two sisters, Patricia Maybrier and Beth Brentano.
