Cynthia Sue Groshong, of Horton, died Sunday at the age of 45.

Cynthia (Cindy) was the third child born to Don and Vickie Richling Groshong on November 1, 1978 in Horton, Kansas. In 1997 she graduated from Horton high school then dedicated her life to helping those in need. She began her professional career as a paraprofessional then as a crisis case manager, followed by a front office coordinator for Kansas, where she worked for many years

Cindy was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2018 and was welcomed by Jesus into her heavenly home on April 21, 2024. Cindy leaves behind her daughter, Brittany Calvert, and son Cameron Calvert. Two grandchildren, Nova and Maverick Meyers. Her parents Don and Vickie Groshong, brother George (Teresa) Groshong, sister Samantha (David) Stone, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation for Cindy will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd from 5-7pm at Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary.

Family and Friends will gather on Wednesday, April 24th at St. Leo's Catholic Church to pray the rosary at 10:00am followed by Cindy's celebration of life at 10:30am. Burial will follow at the St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery. Donations will be designated at a later date.
